Philip Bernstein is an iOS Developer located in the greater NYC area. Referring to yourself in the third party is really weird isn't it? I have years of experience developing iOS applications for both enterprise and commercial use. I have about 5 years of experience with Objective-C, and 3 years experience with Swift on wide-release projects. My main speciality is quickly getting projects off the ground for companies of any size. My specialty in mobile is media, I have intimate knowledge of iOS Audio/Video frameworks. I taught myself to program (or started to) at the end of 8th grade, and it has been my passion all the way to now. Creating new things through technology is my biggest passion, and nothing else gives me the amount of satisfaction I get from finishing a project.I attended the University of Massachusetts, Amherst for 1 year before dropping out to pursue my iOS engineering career. I have since worked at numerous startups creating mobile applications. I have had several apps in the App Store, one reaching the top 25 overnight, and have accumulated over a million downloads. I no longer maintain or develop apps for the store on a consistent basis, nor do I currently have any uploaded.I'm always open to chat, shoot me a message if you think you might have a project I'd be interested in!
Listed skills include Mobile Applications, Web Development, Objective C, Mobile Devices, and 18 others.

I worked with clients such as the Art Institute of Chicago and the Smithsonian Channel (Showtime) to create their iOS & Apple TV applications. Worked directly with the client, product managers, and designers.
Lead the iOS team in bringing new feature to the Monkey app like text chat, communicating with friends, video calls, and more. Worked heavily with audio and video frameworks to enable real time video communication with very little latency.
First in house engineering hire, helped build out the initial iOS application & had a hands on role in product development. Worked hand in hand with a development team located in Prague. Check out the app:).

My goal is to empower anyone and anywhere (with an iPhone...) the ability to share the news they see around them, and get paid when their content is used by news organizations around the world. My job is to manage the full development cycle of our new iOS application, and managing / programming most of it's codebase.Oversaw the launch and support of our new.
Sole-proprietorship LLC designed for me to work on new projects. No projects currently in distribution, as I mainly experiment with new technologies and rarely (if ever) build a commercial product. I also use this to do & bill contract work.
I was a first hire at a company designed to build an education application. The company eventually shifted to a fashion application, then shifted to a gift application. The project required constant interaction between me, the designer, and the CEO. Through the entire thing, I managed the office, managed our servers & wrote our server code (AWS:Ubuntu.
Worked at a media startup building a complex and intuitive video editor and producer. Worked with an engineering team, which required constant interaction and collaboration. Tools used included video capture, video trimming, video compilation, video filtering, video conversion (Apple's QuickTime to a more usable MP4 container). Major problems solved were.
This is the guise of a company that I started when I was a freshman in high school to create and distribute applications on the iOS and Mac app store (I was not yet the required age of 18). I had one app reach the top 25 overnight, and accumulated over a million total downloads. Due to time required on other projects, none of these apps are currently.
Worked for a health related startup on their mobile prototype. Learned the basic fundamentals of machine learning, and heavily relied on my skills for user experience. We used some paradigms that have not been used on any other mobile program (to my knowledge). This project primarily required knowledge of user experience, animation, database (core data).
Developed an iPad application to provide critical performance data to the product team, and introduced the development team to Objective-C and iOS development. Critically used components were internet networking, MapKit (overlays), and database management (SQL and CoreData). This is where I was introduced to agile development and scrum, which we performed.
Technical co-founder of a revolutionary music service at age 14. We had tens of thousands of users, and produced an excellent product. Sadly, the iOS application never made it to market due to outside pressure from YouTube and the RIAA.
