The group mainly explored the feasibility of concept with likeminded card schemes within the euro-zone and has defined a common set of standards for the interface between the acquirer and issuer hosts, which is independent from a specific card scheme.• In addition to ISO-8583 based transaction format, BG developed UNIFI based XML oriented SEPA Card Clearing format, and schema definitions.
