I am senior software developer working as a part of a team which has developed an ASP.NET web application for few big insurance companies. It is a very complex and big application. This web application is implemented in few Croatia's main insurance companies. So we have more than 1000 concurent users working online at a same time on our ASP.NET web app using SQL Server 2017. Working with Visual Studio 2022, C#, .NET, ASP.NET, JavaScript, Crystal Reports and MS SQL Server as a database. Also have knowledge in web design, CSS, HTML5, JQuery, creating SOAP and Rest services, GIT is necessery for managing source code, using Dev Azure Tools, and other technologies. Well aware of software development life cycle and processes. Currently we are in process of transformation of our insurance ASP.NET web application to React, Node.js. I use Visual Studio Code for writting frontend in TypeScript and Visual Studio 2022 C# for backend. Because I developed web application I learned a lot about how web application works, life cycle, settings of IIS and web application on Windows Server 2008 R2. Also know database modeling, SQL queries, transactions in web application. Currently about 1000 users connects daily on our web application and they drill through database with web browser, getting reports in PDF, creating insurance policies online, etc.

After customer approve new project which will be implemented as a part of application, depending on its hardness level I had to choose which methodology will be used. Scrum methodology emphasizes empirical feedback, team self management, and striving to build properly tested product increments within short iterations.

As a senior software developer I always have need to type something to remember. I saw desktop sticky notes programs but I realize that I need more. So I've decided to write my own program. I was young and when I had time I developed ShixxNOTE. I've released first version in 2002. Then my co-worker told me that there are plenty of a shareware programs like mine, he told me to include communication in my program. Then I started real work. With Microsoft Visual C++ 6 as development tool, I have to learn all about communications, network, LAN, sockets, ports, threads. I thought that I will never wrote such multi thread program with a socket listener as a one thread. But I like challenge especially in programming, so I learned many new things and developed ShixxNOTE version 4.net. I've added sufix ".net" because program becomes network enabled. After that I did marketing, I've sent my program to all major Croatian computer magazines for review. I was shocked, I've received 10/10 award from best Croatian computer magazine BUG which included my program on DVD with great review from their's editors. I realized that I've developed something excellent. I started to receive awards from other Croatian magazines PC-Chip and VIDI. Then I've send my program to be reviewed in US magazines and also to best shareware sites (like Download.com, Softpedia, etc.) Now more than 1.000 shareware sites announce info about ShixxNOTE 6.netSuddenly I've got email from invester from US who want to buy my complete source code, to include it in his project. I sold my source code back than in 2004 for 2.500 USD but with permission to sell my program over the net on program home page www.shixxnote.com. Till today I've earned about 25.000 USD and have more than 500 customers around the world. My customers are sometime small companies, but also I have customers like "Greek Embassy in Washington DC". So that is proof that my program ShixxNOTE is secure and that my customers trust me. 😉

Windows software programmer

Software developer. Working on a various projects for big companies like British Airways, Deutche Bahn, etc. Worked with Visual C++, MFC, Visual Cafe for development of Java applications. Learned C++ and get a lot of knowledge in other areas of IT. For example I've worked on program called HyperTape which was backup solution. Because clients had various UNIX operating systems like IRIX, AIX, Sun Solaris I had to learn working with UNIX based systems.
