As part of a 4-person translation team within the Communications Unit, I translated and adapted print, online and social media content that helped the College fulfill its mandate of licensing, governing and regulating the teaching profession, while protecting the public interest. I revised the work of colleagues and vendors, contributed to the enrichment of the College’s terminology database, and helped manage the team’s workflow system.

I managed the French Communications function, tasked with delivering all French print and online marketing content at Sentry Investments. On a day-to-day basis, I translate documents of various natures, review the work of team members and external vendors, interact with internal clients from all departments and provide insights on strategic initiatives and their potential impact on results in the Québec market.Accomplishments and additional tasks:- Selected a computer-assisted translation software and oversaw its integration into the translation workflow, enabling the function to leverage previously-translated work and ensuring greater consistency.- Created a company-specific terminology database and corpus of existing work.- Set up a network of trusted and experienced translation vendors to handle overflow and achieve optimal results in a cost-effective manner.- Produced and performed voiceover work for a series of marketing and educational videos.

I translated content pertaining to mutual funds and financial markets, reviewed the work of colleagues and vendors, helped train junior translators, contributed to the enhancement of Fidelity’s terminology database, and performed as well as produced French audio recordings of training/marketing videos.
