Emergency Medicine

Volunteered in my community as FF/EMS.NCEMT-P, NC Certified Level II Firefighter, Rescue Tech. Responsible for fire suppressions and responding to MVA and assisting with extrication of injured patients. Other duties include, to care for the sick or injured patients and transporting them to the appropriate facility.

Duties included responding to the scene of an emergency and applied the necessary medical treatment and care to the sick or injured patients and transporting them to the appropriate facility. Skills performed and not limited to: stabilizing patients condition, administering appropriate medications, obtaining intravenous access, obtaining and interpreting12 EKGs, and placing advanced airways.My other duties included being a field training officer (FTO) and was responsible for the training and evaluation of a junior or probationary members of the department.

Worked part time. Job description was to perform duties related to the daily operation of CGH Emergency Department and CGH Emergency Medical Transport Services. To provide interfacility transport to critical sick/injured patients from CGH to a receiving hospital for higher level of services that wasn't available at CGH. Skills performed and not limited to: stabilizing patients condition, administering appropriate medications, obtaining intravenous access, obtaining and interpreting12 EKGs, and placing advanced airways.
