• Interdisciplinary fields of materials physics, chemistry, biomaterials, engineering, biology and medicine with various analysis techniques, such as SEM with EDS and FIB. TEM, Selected Area Diffraction, Dark Field, HRTEM, EDS, STEM with EELS, cryo-TEM.• Over 10 year of solid experiences of materials development and materials analysis on coating/thin films (VO2 and SiO2), single crystals (MgF2 and LiI), organic-mineral composites (collagen-HAP), polymers (PLA, PEG and PGA) and metals (Mg alloys), ceramics (Y2O3-CeO2-ZrO2, Sr(Ba)TiO3), glass (MgO-CaO-SiO2-F) etc.• Hands-on experience on sample preparation for TEM, HRTEM, cryo-TEM and SEM by cutting/sectioning by diamond saw, Jet-grinding, polishing, ion-milling/FIB, freezing, microtomy and carbon/gold coating, and equipment maintenance.• Be skillful in using other techniques, such as PLM, XRD, AFM, TG-DSC, and FTIR etc for characterization.• Proven ability in independent interpretation and decision-making. Have experience on training staff and writing technical report with good communication skills.• Hands-on experience of operation and imaging with TEM (such as JEOL200CX, JEOL2010 with EDS, Philips CM30F-GIF, FEI Tecnai F20, JSM1210 and FEI Tecnai T12), HRTEM (JEOL2010, JEOL-4000EX and FEI Tecnai F20), STEM (HB501-EELS), Field-Emission SEM (JSM6330F and JSM6700F) and cryo-TEM (FEI Tecnai F20, CM300F and CM200F).
