Managed, responded and addressed issues related to instances of non-compliance with the Cannabis Act and its Regulations. For example:- Implemented the Mandatory Cannabis Testing for Pesticide Active Ingredients. As a result, we assured that hundreds of lots of quality-controlled cannabis reached the market.- Supported the industry in the voluntary recall of cannabis. As a result, we were able to mitigate potential risk to consumers.Led the development of technical compliance and enforcement promotion tools and products for License Holders and their implementation. - As a result, we have communicated guidance around the use of permitted foliar spray and modified atmosphere packaging to the industry.

• Lead, manage, and facilitate:- Consultations and strategies at the national level to find replacement products for pesticides judged by the agency as having unacceptable heath and environmental risk and that are phased out from the market. * As a result, over 70 new reduced risk solutions were registered.- An agency working group which has established the agency position regarding the use of pesticides for high tunnels. As a result:* An information note was written listing best practices for use of pesticides in high tunnels (http://www.hc-sc.gc.ca/cps-spc/pubs/pest/_fact-fiche/tunnels-pesticides/index-eng.php) • Facilitate and provide regulatory support for grower access to new products• Train and educate grower associations and other stakeholders about Agency projects and programs.- Led to better overall collaboration for program implementation• Provide expertise on horticultural and pest management practices for insects and diseases which contributed to educated regulatory decisions • Wrote, contributed to, and presented numerous briefing notes to upper management• Facilitated many meetings at the section, external and internal working group, and division level• Lead the seminar series of the direction.- Brought internal and external experts to present on various topics which improved public servant understanding of Agency pertinent issues. • Developed Excel-based apps using VBA to automate repetitive tasks, improve annual reporting accuracy, and gathering data.- Increased productivity resulted by spending significantly less time generating and searching data and by focusing efforts on analyzing it.
