Worked in different capacities for 17 years in Telecom project planning and implementations mainly in the areas of Radio systems (Microwave & UHF), Fiber Optic cable networks and systems in long distance network of Deptt of Telecommunications, Govt of India. Subsequently worked for 2&1/2 Yrs in Senior position in Telecom Engineering Centre of Deptt of Telecommunications, in planning & implementation of National Internet Backbone for providing IP backbone and Internet services to users. Was member of ITU Study Group 16 and contributed. Thereafter worked in MTNL for 3 yrs in a senior position for planning & implementation of new technologies, operations & maintenance of large telecom network.Joined TCIL in 2003 as Group General Manager in the area of IT & Networking. Worked for consultancy & projects execution in countries in Middle East and Africa region mainly in the areas of IT. Carried out first implementation of FTTH network in Kuwait City in association with Wave 7 Optics of USA and subsequently with Alcatel Systems using GPON technology.Also worked with IBM and Tata Consultancy Services for implementation of NIB Project 3 of Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited for provisioning of Broadband services to users across the countries. Four Data Centres were set up during this implemntation. Worked as Principal General Manager in BSNL Jaipur Telecom District & subsequently as Chief General Manager Rajasthan Telecom Circle.
