Mainly site based, and on secondment to their sister companies – Yelcon & Camsted Homes as required. • Support project team in all commercial matters• Place material orders (PO)• Carry out take off’s• Place Sub-contract orders (SC Orders)• Sub-contract payment certs (SC Certs)• Maintain relationships with subcontractors/liaising with site team/liaising with suppliers etc.• Sending out enquiries to new sub-contractors for new developments• Checking and signing off invoices• Carry out site measures on works completed• Booking in and processing sub-contractor’s weekly wages• Attending site meetings• Checking drawings, attaining approvals from engineers, architects for trusses, beams, lintels joists etc.• Valuation

Working as a development coordinator for McCarthy and Stone was a career change from commercial to production part of the industry. This role gave me an understanding of design whilst working as part of the development team consisting of Architects and Quantity Surveyors. My role as a development coordinator was to assist in planning and moving the development forward from inception stage to handover. My role helped me understand the logistics involved before and after the design process and gave me a good understanding of a cycle of a construction project.
