As a GRA, I am part of a collaboration between UAH and the FBI called the Hazardous Devices, Tools, and Technologies Unit (HDTTU). The HDTTU develops strategies to disarm improvised explosive devices (IEDs). In this role, my main responsibility is to write and edit technical content that is distributed to bomb technicians and other members of the HDTTU. A major component of this position is interviewing engineering experts to gather information that I then develop into reports and guidelines for distribution. Given the nature of this position, I am also responsible for the safe handling of sensitive government information. An interesting aspect of this position is that the various documents I am responsible for vary in terms of intended audience, so I have developed lots of practice curating documents to target specific audience groups, such as subject matter experts, the general public, and so on.

In this role, I created all of the program schedules for every team that comes through our Space Camp programs at the Rocket Center. This often involved making up to 100 schedules each week. The schedules are created in Excel, and I have written many processes that analyze the schedules to ensure that everything is present and there aren't any conflicts between schedules. Another of my duties was to create and update several metrics spreadsheets that compile and present data on attendance and revenue. I also led a weekly planning meeting to inform all departments of any upcoming changes to groups that were coming in future weeks.
