- In my capacity as Support Manager I travelled both across the UK and internationally to manage stores independently for up to 6 weeks at a time.- My roles in each store were a varied range of organisational and logistical challenges, I was tasked with fault finding, and performance management, identifying low performance stores and areas within, providing emergency management cover in hectic and busy stores during some of the highest pressure periods of the year. - Management of staff including, but not limited to; annual leave, sickness, staff schedules and emergency cover.- Another aspect of my role here was to organize and lead training sessions for new starters across a wide range of topics at regional offices throughout the country. - Identifying trends within each store, presenting them to management in order to show where stock and delivery enhancements should be focused. These trends were found creating and using database software.- When my time at each location had finished and I had demonstrated to the team ways in which to improve the process and the working environment, I often stayed on to collaborate with new stores and franchise owners.- Liaising with local police forces to manage asset protection in stores and across the country.

- Staff recruitment and on-boarding, induction training and ongoing staff development.- This required a great deal of flexibility in working hours to aid in the marketing and promotion of sales, assisting with the sales, management and senior operations teams and maintaining a steady flow of communication between them all.- Responsible for calculation of sales and budgets,liaising with the financial team to authorise expense budget, using figures to maintain steady stock flow, set and organise weekly rota and ensuring fair distribution of hours amongst staff, including arranging emergency cover for any given situation, and acting as a step-in manager.- In this role my customer service skills were developed more thoroughly and enhanced due to the range of clientele within the metropolitan areas of the UK. These included resolving inquiries and complaints of all customers including those with hard-of-hearing and blindness disabilities.- As a supervisor my duties also included liaising with recruiters and the HR team in dealing with disciplinary actions and on-boarding new members of staff. Moreover, I managed staff progression through the use of KPI’s.

- Tokonatsu is a UK based Japanese Culture and Manga Festival held annually.- As part of the Tokonatsu events team our responsibilities are to ensure a fun weekend for all attendees and that all our events run on time and have maximum occupancy, while running safely.- My duties include promoting events via Facebook, Twitter and the forums, gathering information and tailoring any events I hold based on our customer feedback and holding competitions, tournaments, and organizing my staff on the 3 days to allow all the events to run without any issues.- During this festival, I am quite often on stage and speaking publicly to our attendees.
