I'm continuing to support the national public emplyment services (PES) by focusing onskills development of regional PES personnel across Finland. The group I lead consists ofabout 23 experts who create live and online courses to support the comprehensivelearning of all areas of PES work. This includes e.g.:• knowing how to work as a PES official• understanding the jobmarket as an operational environment• interpersonal skills needed in needs-based customer service• the services available for job seekers, immigrants and employers• mastering the implementation of unemployment security• learning how to use national CRM-systemsWe also continue to support the operators of employment focused multidisciplinaryservices by offering training opportunities, facilitating bench-learning and by supportingcommunications and data production.I've put my Excel-skills to good use by creating an operational planning tool for the whole unit. This is based on my own knowledge of public procurement processes.
