I am a Professor of Finance at the Autonomous University of Madrid and a Research Member of the European Corporate Governance Institute (ECGI). In the last twenty-five years I have spent my research efforts to understand the efficiency of corporate governance mechanisms and the corporate valuation through the real options lens. My interest in corporate governance started early in my career, as I was awarded the European Investment Bank Prize for young researchers (1997) for my work "Financial system models, corporate governance and capital investment in OECD countries: Some stylized facts”. I have published my research in international journals.In the last years, the interface between corporate governance, finance and technology has captured my attention, so I set up a lab with the startup Collisio Technologies, where a multidisciplinary team researches on the financing strategies through digital channels and assets.
