About Pablo De Leon
I am a responsible and dynamic person with a lot of knowledge in different areas of financial auditing, internal control, among others. I have developed my career mainly in the following companies: Deloitte: as one of the BIG 4 worldwide I learned everything related to the audit of financial statements according to NIAS. I worked up to the position of senior auditor where I audited the following industries: energy companies, manufacturing, real estate, universities, retail companies, among others. I also performed internal auditing work in a major hotel chain abroad so I have also done work abroad. I learned mainly about the principles of corporate governance related mainly to the COSO and COSO ERM methodology. my main achievements here were that I was always promoted in each of the years I was in the company. Canella: Here I mainly worked on the company's money laundering and terrorist financing policies and procedures. the achievement at this time is that we were able to implement this policies and procedures manual, which is still in force today. Cementos Progreso: I worked as an internal auditor in one of the most important business groups in Guatemala. I carried out tests and implemented the COSO ERM methodology in one of the companies of the group, where mainly the internal audit work was carried out by the internal auditors.In this case I was in charge of testing the sub-processes of the following areas: Finance, Human Resources, Purchasing, Revenues, and Inventories. Grant Thornton Guatemala: as audit manager I am in charge of a group of 11 people who mainly perform audits of financial statements, although I have also done internal audit work, fraud work in various business lines and consulting work such as the implementation of IFRS and IFRS for SMEs in companies of different business lines. The greatest achievement in this company is that it has managed to grow every year with a greater number of clients and maintaining the trust of those who have worked.
