I was in charge of ensuring the casino clients satisfaction, we served free drinks and sometimes free food for the most important customers. Under my wing I had 16 employees working in the F&B department, which I had to manage, create weekly schedules and ensure they had a good working environment. My main activities were to manage and operate the department, by controlling food and beverage inventories, cost control, managing suppliers and developing monthly themed events.

I worked aboard the Eclipse cruise ship at the Galapagos Islands under the command of the Captain and in continuous collaboration with the cruise Directors. I was responsible to monitor, improve and coordinate processes inherent in the hospitality area, recognition of operational problems, food and beverages handling, inventories, housekeeping and direct attention to the guests. It was a great opportunity to apply my hospitality experience and gain extra knowledge about managing the operation of a tourist boat passengers. I was able to get up close with the hospitality operations on the boat, which gave me a more global view of hotel processes and the interrelation of the various areas to provide quality service. I participated actively and contributed with ideas on improving hospitality processes, in order to meet quality standards of service and the facilities on board of the Eclipse.

I was responsible for the staff of waiters and managing the hotel restaurant for breakfast hours and guest dinners.These duties included covering for the restaurant manager when he was free , assign tables for guests and assigning tasks to several waiters such as side jobs to be done at end of their shifts. I always aimed at ensuring maximum guest satisfaction and maintaining harmony within the restaurant staff and the kitchen staff which was not always and easy job. We had a lot of events such as wedding receptions , anniversaries, birthdays, Boxing Day lunches, graduations and many more. It was a wonderful experience.

I was responsible for conducting the check ins and check outs for guests , in addition to being responsible for customer service and calls from the rooms to assist with information or helping our gusts to solve problems . I had the opportunity to replace the reservations manager when necessary where I was trained in using the Global Distribution System of Starwood , and where I could apply my knowledge of forecasting, yield management and marketing. I learned to use the hotel's IT System during that time called ZEUZ.Here I gained a lot of experience of the hotel operations since the Front Desk was always in constant communication with the F&B department, Maintenance, Events and Security.

It was my first chance to manage a customer service location where he was responsible for the main restaurant Pizza SA. I was in charge of billing tables, serving drinks, taking orders to go and night audit . My job was night manager every day of the week where I was in charge of personnel management, quality control and customer satisfaction. It was the first time in my career I had the experience of managing money, cope with daily problems with customers and finding solutions, relating with suppliers and be able to manage a bunch of employees who were around my age without losing my position
