Writing research news articles, video scripts, and infographics that outline the most salient and relevant aspects of the latest scientific discoveries and innovations using plain language. In general, the goal is to help scientists communicate the results of their research in a way that people without an extensive academic background can still understand, thus promoting the effective dissemination of science among the general population and stakeholders alike.

My role in this online job is to revise and/or translate scientific papers and articles written in English or Spanish, making sure the finished document is free from grammatical, punctuation, and vocabulary mistakes, and that it meets the standards for publication.

Manage, plan, and carry out the monitoring and sensing of various machine variables using the latest equipment. This is done in order to carry out efficient predictive maintenance on the most important machines, such as furnaces, fryers and conveyors. The tests carried out include temperature measurements, flue gas analysis (for combustion efficiency), and shaft alignment, among others.

I worked on Human-Machine Interface design for the operator consoles used for Steel Continuous Casting.I was also trained in PLC programming basics and on the Steel Industry in general, as well as on industry related topics such as Quality, Safety and Hygiene and teamworking.

I repaired laptops, tablets, security camera systems, and other consumer electronic devices. I also worked in quality control in the SMT Assembly line; where RAM memory chips were produced.
