STUDENT PROJECT - BEST STUDENT PROJECT UNITY AWARD WINNERMeowmentum Mori is a first-person single-player speedrunning platformer where you play as Mori, a novice catmage facing a series of coming-of-age trials in a pocket universe. In order to inherit the family elders' magic, you must run, jump, slide, and dash to magical orbs to finish each trial as fast as you can and become a full-fledged catmage!🏆Winner of Unity's Best Student Project Award🏆Chosen from a pool of VFS Student Projects to be showcased and available to demo on the expo floor at CIFF (Calgary International Film Festival) 2023!🏆Best in level design at VFS because of my work on this project.Responsibilities: - I design and build levels for the game. - I establish character metrics and the overall feeling for the game's controls.- I set up playtesting sessions to receive feedback from our audience which I then use to iterate on the levels. - I ensure that the great mechanics that have been established for our game don't go to waste on poor levels. What this position has taught me thus far:-Feedback is information, it can guide you to solutions but no single piece of feedback will outright solve the problem your team is facing. It is how you interpret that feedback and how you test/implement solutions that will prove beneficial to your team in the long run.
  • Millennium Restaurant Group
    Digital Marketing Specialist
Millennium Restaurant Group Mar 2022 - Aug 2022
    Kalamazoo, Michigan, United States
What this position taught me: - Understanding the problem is essential to the design process. Before I could begin creating my designs I had to interview each of the restaurant’s managers to determine what their online needs were. After analyzing the areas of opportunities upon having these interviews, I was able to create an online strategy that catered to their specific needs.- I am a self-driven individual. I never had anyone breathing down my neck forcing me to make progress in the project. I was able to keep to my own schedule while delivering results. I was able to break down my process thus providing leadership with a better understanding of their online needs. - I take pride in my work and I'm always looking for ways to make it better by being open to feedback. Through this process, I received constructive criticism from the ownership group and I was able to iterate based on their comments to ensure that the designs matched their needs. - My website designs had an impact, driving up online results by 35%. In the short time that I was with MRG, I was able to provide significant contributions to their online presence with one manager going as far as to say "We feel like a restaurant now thanks to your website".
  • Faurecia
    Communications Trainee
    Faurecia Jul 2021 - Jan 2022
    Querétaro, Mexico
What this position taught me:- I had to learn how to create, format, and maintain a corporate newsletter. I was responsible for creating multiple editions of the newsletter that became published internally across 4 different national locations. - Constant communication within a team is necessary for any design to work. To ensure that my vision for the newsletters matched the necessities of my employer I had to constantly seek to have meetings with them to showcase progress and to course correct whenever needed. - The devil's in the details. Since my newsletters were being published nationally across Faurecia's different locations, I had to be extremely attentive toward any mistake that could diminish the value of the newsletter.-These newsletters contributed to boosting a sense of team morale by 15%.
  • Grupo Televisa
    Video Editor
    Grupo Televisa Jul 2021 - Dec 2021
    Querétaro, Mexico
What this position taught me: - Efficient communication between multiple disciplines greatly improves the quality of the final product. During my time as editor I had to reach out to sound designers, producers and the talent of each digital show in order to homogenize the vision of each product. My duty was to add custom animations and visual aids from after effects to the existing video in order to improve the overall quality of each show. In order to deliver on time while respecting the original vision for each show, I had to constantly communicate with the team to understand their needs. - I'm capable of multitasking. I undertook this job during the end of my college experience as well as while I was working at Faurecia. My ability to fulfill all my responsibilities has been something that's helped me in my professional career and this job experience was the first time I noticed this about myself.
  • Tribalo Estudio Digital
    Content Creator
Tribalo Estudio Digital Aug 2019 - Dec 2019

  • Conque
    Translator
    Conque May 2017 - May 2019
    Querétaro Area, Mexico
What this position taught me:- I am capable of handling big responsibilities. If I mismanaged the celebrities in any way then the fans would become dismayed and the overall quality of the convention would be diminished. - My efforts don't go unnoticed. It's one thing to be responsible for Stan Lee during one event, but to have the event organizers ask me to handle the responsibility of managing Elijah Wood two years later after seeing the stand-out job I did with Mr. Lee is another. - Being well-versed in multiple languages can open a lot of opportunities.Responsibilities:- I was in charge of handling and translating for Stan Lee and Elijah Wood during two separate comic book conventions- I was responsible for ensuring they had a proper stay in Mexico. That all of their needs were met and that there were no miscommunications between management, event organizers, and the celebrities themselves. - I assisted in coordinating with event managers to have the celebrities translated properly through the country and the different event venues.
  • Stan Lee Collectibles
    Staff
Stan Lee Collectibles Jul 2017 - Aug 2017
Atlanta, Georgia, And San Diego , California, United States
What this position taught me: - I am a good worker. I always put in my best effort in what I do. This in essence is what allowed me to continue working with Mr.Lee's team after our encounter in Conque 2017.- I was given the highest honor that I've received in my professional career thus far. While in Dragon Con, one of Mr. Lee's managers commended my work ethic by saying "Everywhere we go we always have someone translating for us, but Pablo is the first person to have worked with us in other shows after we've left their country"Responsibilities:- I assisted in the coordination of meet-and-greet events with Stan Lee's team during San Diego Comic-Con and Dragon Con.- Helped to generate profits with merchandising sales. - Helped to translate the needs of Spanish-speaking buyers.- Aided during Mr. Lee's fan signing sessions
