Currently working as Staff Attorney at the Inter-American Court of Human Rights, where I coordinate one of the teams responsible for handling contentious cases, provisional measures, and advisory opinions.I have taught human rights and international law at various universities and institutes, including the Universidad Panamericana and the Legal Research Institute at UNAM in Mexico, the Universidad Externado and Universidad de la Sabana in Colombia, and the Inter-American Institute of Human Rights in Costa Rica.I am the author of the book "The Doctrine of Conventionality Control: Between Uniformity and Legal Pluralism in the Inter-American Human Rights System" (Intersentia, 2018), and of several articles and book chapters on the relationship between international law and constitutional law, the legal reasoning of the Inter-American Court of Human Rights, and economic, social, cultural, and environmental rights within the Inter-American Human Rights System.I am also a member of the National Researchers System of the National Council for Humanities, Science and Technology (Conacyt), as a National Researcher (Level I).I completed my J.S.D. in International Human Rights Law at the University of Notre Dame, where I was a Fellow at the Kellogg Institute for International Studies and Visiting Professor at the Legal Research Institute at UNAM; my LL.M. in International Law at Georgetown University, on a Fulbright-García Robles Scholarship, and my LL.B. from Universidad Panamericana campus Aguascalientes.
