The main responsibilities in my role implies leading a multidisciplinary group of skilled people in several strategic projects for the company and training algorithms as well as designing and implementing architectures so the models could scale and give answers to clients in real time.About the management role:- Proposed a new team structure to the C-Level, in order to organize better the efforts of the Data Scientists and Engineers, to achieve the Company's objectives.- After the structure proposed was refined, leaded the recruitment process and team building in order to incorporate Data Scientists to the Company with skills to solve problems that involved NLP, Vision and Graphs.- Interact with other areas in the Konfío so they are aware of what we are developing and to be aligned to the common objectives.- Lead a heterogeneous and multidisciplinary team (Generalists DS. Graphs Scientist and ML Engineers) in projects related with:* Credit origination SME & SP: predict in real time willingness to pay using multiple sources of info.* Generate a client's network to identify fraudulent behavior and to create a new acquisition channel.* Build a monitor to track population shift (in order to anticipate when the model needs to be retrained) as well bugs* Feature store: consolidate and reuse features (business logic) and speed up models development.* Develop pipelines that would provide data to the models in real time.* CI/CD for DS ProjectsTech challenges:- Train multiple generations of SP origination models as well as the 1st generation of SME origination model.- Train algorithms in order to predict client's cashflow for the following months.- Design and implement architectures that make able to use those cashflow's predictions in real time & batch, helping the credit team to improves their metrics and the collections team to improves their strategies.- Test new frameworks (DVC, Metaflow) that could help the team to improve the development process.
