For maritime professionals: I can make you a maritime influencer in your field of expertise. For companies: I am a maritime expert who writes high-quality and engaging content for companies in the maritime industry to boost their international branding and lead generation. My posts read like a short story, a highly technical short story. My efforts have multiplied the engagement (e.g. likes, impressions) of my clients' posts and raised their follower base. I also conduct social media audits to identify LinkedIn's weaknesses. I am also available as a part-time strategic advisor and geopolitical expert for the maritime and logistics industries; you can get a taste of my knowledge by reading one of my many posts and articles.*******Author of the book: "IMO 2020: A Regulatory Tsunami." I was seized by the sea many years ago when I was doing my PhD in London. I fell in love with maritime and port economics, a passion that many years later led me more to the engineering and environmental side of ships and ports. Pablo is Vice President of Emerging & Frontier LLC, where he is responsible for maritime issues, and President of Gliese Foundation, an institution also dedicated to shipping and port issues. He was a Senior Associate of SQ Consult, where he was responsible for the decarbonisation of shipping and other environmental issues related to the maritime industry. He has been the Chief Economist of the Central American Bank for Economic Integration (CABEI) and a consultant to the Inter-American Development Bank (IADB) and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP). He has worked as a researcher for international organisations and think tanks, including the World Bank, the IADB, the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), the UNDP, the International Development Research Centre (IDRC), the World Trade Organisation (WTO), the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), the Food and Agriculture Organisation of the United Nations (FAO), the European Commission (EC) and the United Nations Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean (ECLAC). He has also worked as a contributing economist for Oxford Analytica and the Economist Intelligence Unit (EIU).Pablo holds a Ph.D. and M.Sc. in Economics from Queen Mary and Westfield College, University of London, and a B.A. from Francisco Marroquín University. He has more than 30 years of professional experience. In his youth, he was twice the Guatemalan Chess Champion and was awarded the lifetime title of FIDE Master by the International Chess Federation.
