My name is Justin Pace, and I am a Validation Engineer for ValSource. In my current role contracted by Merck, I have experience with drafting and executing commissioning and qualification protocols to support the successful validation of equipment, systems, utilities, and processes associated with sterile product manufacturing. I am also gaining hands-on experience in cleaning validation and cycle development processes to ensure that equipment is properly cleaned and fit for use, preventing contamination risks. In this role, I work closely with project teams, engineers, quality assurance, and regulatory bodies to ensure seamless equipment performance and successful project delivery.In my previous role as a Validation Engineer Co-op at Catalent Pharma Solutions, I played a key role in the temperature mapping of controlled temperature units and GMP areas, authored numerous periodic reviews for manufacturing equipment and systems, and drafted environmental monitoring and performance qualification (EMPQ) protocols for clean rooms and classified areas, all supporting the production and manufacture of cell therapy drug products. I hold a bachelor's degree in chemical engineering and a master's degree in pharmaceutical engineering from New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT), which have provided me with a solid foundation in both engineering principles and the specific needs of pharmaceutical manufacturing.
