I’m a Cherokee Native tech program lead with a passion for automation and over 15 years of experience in startups and enterprises like Logitech, Best Buy, and IMAX. I live in the Chicago suburbs with my partner and three little geniuses. As a graduate in Computational Linguistics from BYU, I’m an experienced full-stack developer, focused on preserving cultural heritage through my AI startup, "Pre". My expertise lies in taking people-first approaches and asking better questions. Besides serving as Chief Information Officer at my Native-owned management consulting company, I also teach the March PT cohort in App Academy's Full Stack Web Development program each evening. I'm excited to join App Academy in teaching a specialized AI course, dedicated to giving software engineers the tools needed to create exponential impacts and bridge digital divides.My technical skills include proficiency in Agile, Jira, ClickUp, Asana, Hubspot, Zoho, Monday, AirTable, Trello, Adobe CC, Figma, AWS, HTML/CSS/JS, JSON, JWTs, TypeScript, React, Node.js, Angular, SQL, MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Firebase, Python, Bootstrap, User Interface (UI/UX), VS Code, and Spanish. I have also worked on a variety of recent projects, including porting the AIMM Microsoft VB and C# apps to a React SaaS app with Material UI for Pacific Outdoor Living, handling React Native mobile app integrations for Best Buy's in-store app-based checkout system, and launching an interactive in-theater experience web app for the premiere of The Suicide Squad (2021) for IMAX/Warner Bros.In addition to my current roles, I have also worked as a CEO/CTO, Product Manager, Full Stack Team Lead, Sr. UI/UX & Front End Engineer, Full Stack Web Development Instructor, and Video Conferencing Product Specialist. I have built freelance full stack web/app development portfolios, taught over 2000 students full stack development, and contributed to a fast growth startups in telemedicine, telecommunications, and consumer finance.
