In the last 5 years I have been responsible for several internal tools written in Java, running on Kubernetes, tested with Javascript. All were critical to the business, including one which is time critical: this was an event sunrise/sunset operation that had to be run at specific times of the day. All these services run in AWS making heavy use of SNS, SQS, ElasticSearch, Redis, DynamoDb, Mongo, MySQL, BigQuery with monitoring and logging provided by either ELK, or DataDog. Prior to these tools I have:- helped move zulily from co-location to cloud (AWS) for the vendor services team- added many services to the vendor services area- worked on added new vendors and maintenance of vendor data- acted as devops for the vendor and event teams which included maintenance of NGINX, MySQL, Mongo, Redis, ElasticSearch clusters and 80+ java services and many PHP front-ends.- worked on the front-end and back-end for the event servicesI participated in and helped run many Hackathons, chaired a working group on curiosity. I also mentored, pair-programmed with other team mates and people outside of my immediate team.One hackathon project was autograf which created a Grafana dashboard for a dropwizard service in 5 minutes which normally took 2 days.Another hackathon project was an autorunbook, which ran in Electron.js and analyzed Jira tickets, connected them with static runbooks, added auto or manual action items that could be run at a click of a button (appropriate information gathered and added to api calls). This saved me many hours and helped with 3AM pages.

Worked on creating version 2 of an interactive checklist using JQuery (with Ajax), SQL Server, Window's Azure, ASP.Net, and related technologies. Added the ability to dynamically create checklists, store them, potentially share them, and re-use them. Challenges were obfuscation of dynamic javascript and css, and keeping features simple yet flexible.

Responsible for client-side javascript (heavy use of JQuery), svg, css3, and html5 coding for Kerika V2.Kerika (http://kerika.com) is an awesome collaboration tool that lets you communicate ideas and share information in a loose hierarchical manner. It is super fast at sharing YouTube videos, Google docs, and other information.

Worked on the V2.0 ScriptEngine (parser) for the Amalga Health Care project at Microsoft. Took this from design to the 2.2 version. Also worked on the ScriptEngineExplorer, LogViewer, and DADE pieces as well.The work involved working with SQL Server and used web services, and middle-tier code to do the processing. Desktop work was done in WPF and WinForms, reinforcing the elegance of WPF for me.
