I passed the CFP exam in November of 2022! That was by far the hardest test I ever took. It was so thrilling to achieve that milestone. How I got started: Back during the pandemic, I challenged myself to learn more about financial planning. The big driver at the time was that I didn't want to get hoodwinked. As I went through the CFP coursework, I discovered how gratifying it is to help people. My family and friends were always open to discussing investing, retirement planning, and taxation. I think it is fun to develop different options for people and talk through possible scenarios. And, I enjoy financial analysis and using the financial planning platforms, like eMoney. I also agree strongly with Rodney Hood, Chairman of the National Credit Union Administration (NCUA), when he described financial inclusion efforts as “the key civil rights issue of our generation.” We have a lot of work ahead of us.
