I hold a Ph.D. in Luso-Afro-Brazilian Studies & Theory with a sub-specialization in Disability Studies from the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth, where I also previously completed my B.A. and M.A. in Lusophone Literatures and Cultures. While in academia, the focus of my research was 16th-century Portuguese poetry and 19th & 20th-century Brazilian literature.
