Dr. Francisco Ramos earned a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Granada in 2018, complemented by a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering and a Master of Science in Physics with a specialization in Electronics in 1997, along with a Master’s Degree in Computer & Network Engineering in 2012, all from the University of Granada. He also completed an Executive MBA at Instituto Internacional San Telmo-IESE in 2007.Dr. Ramos began his career as a Design Engineer at Alcatel in Brussels in 1997, focusing on Microelectronics. He then moved to Eben Technologies in Paris in 1998 as a Consulting Engineer and joined EMMicroelectronics-Swatch Group in Switzerland in 1999 as a Project Manager. At EMMicroelectronics, he developed products for major industrial clients, including automotive systems for Renault, avionics for Airbus, and mobile phones for Siemens Mobile, eventually becoming Product Manager for a €7 million product line by 2002.In 2005, he joined Telvent, part of Schneider Electric, in Sevilla, Spain, as RTU Product Manager for the Electric Sector. Promoted to R&D Area Director in 2007, he led innovative projects and managed key product initiatives. Since 2015, as Innovation Manager at Schneider Electric, he has led over 100 R&D projects in Smart Grids, Cybersecurity, Renewables, Smart Cities, IoT, and Embedded Systems.Dr. Ramos served as Release Train Engineer for Distribution Automation R&D, guiding a team of 77 members using the Scaled Agile Framework for a successful 16-month mission. He also managed the technology transfer of the ADVC recloser product family from Brisbane to Sevilla and oversaw Validation & Certification efforts, including testing, CE marking, and tendering support. As a Patent Correspondent, he focused on safeguarding technological advancements.He was a board member of Prometeo, the Spanish Technological Platform for Embedded Systems in alignment with the European ARTEMIS platform, and served as Vice President of PLANETIC, the Spanish technology platform for IT adoption. In 2022, he became Product Owner for the PowerLogic T300 Substation Controller, Protection and Automation Solution, transitioning to Offer Marketing Owner in 2023.
