Award-winning senior sports reporter/ producer for Ten News based in the network’s national headquarters. This has included being the network’s cricket and swimming reporter for Australia’s leading sports news program Sports Tonight. I have also led the network’s weekend rugby league editorial coverage. As a senior sports journalist with 18 years’ experience, I am responsible for the gathering of high-profile stories which have come from forming relationships with a mix of contacts. The role also includes the filing of stories for a national audience across four news bulletins seven days a week. Duties also include production and staff delegation. In this role I have been required on occasions to manage a team of journalists and direct/ determine the news agenda of the day. I have reported on several international sporting events world-wide, often sent off on assignment on my own in safe knowledge that the job will be done efficiently, accurately and professionally. This includes the 2010 Delhi Commonwealth Games and several international cricket tournaments. Furthermore, I have formed close-working relationships with leading decision-makers who are responsible for news content and have developed this network of contacts at the highest level within Australia’s media and sporting industry.

Working for IMG Worldwide and the Board of Control of Cricket in India (BCCI) to manage the media, communication and broadcast delivery of the DLF Indian Premier League T20 competition. Key tasks included the co-ordination of match day media operations, liaising with and leading host broadcast unit to deliver global vision to rights holders. This role also included pre, during and post-tournament strategic communication process planning; match-day broadcast facilitation; a key liaison role with high-profile international players, nine franchises, 12 venues, two host broadcasters and media from around the world. This also involved high level crisis management, directing players and franchise board members throughout the tournament.

I was the central point of contact for the team’s media relations for Indian and foreign press. I arranged and co-ordinated pre-match and post-match media opportunities.
