I led the creation of the Social Design Hub, a cross-curricular area that connects academics, students, alumni, staff, and neighbors of CENTRO to design and implement projects with social and environmental value. Over the past 10 years, we have engaged more than 2,000 community members (neighbors) in various activities, workshops, and campaigns.Key Achievements:*Sustainability Projects: Since 2023, I have taken on the responsibility for leading the 2024-30 institutional sustainability plan, coordinating the team to track progress and ensure participation in international rankings. This initiative supports our broader goals of advancing sustainability through environmental education and community resilience.*Community Engagement: Organized a community football tournament since 2018, featuring an open mixed league in Chapultepec Park with up to 13 institutional and local teams.*Digital Literacy Program: Developed an initiative for chronic patients in vulnerable situations with Centro Médico ABC, leading to significant savings on emergency medical expenses.*Capacity-Building Workshops: Conducted hundreds of workshops promoting skills development in areas such as Digital Literacy, Pattern Making, Jewelry Making, Creative Writing, Urban Gardening, and more.*Health Campaigns: Initiated health campaigns including blood donation drives and community mammography screenings to enhance public health awareness.*University Scholarship Program: Implemented a program to track and support scholarship recipients among local residents and graduates of Christel House High School, ensuring their successful completion of studies.The Hub has established itself as a vital platform for fostering community connections and social impact.
