In the real estate world they call me Cookie, but I’m no monster! Instead, I'm the guy who moved from the “big smoke” in Toronto, to the smaller city of Ottawa 25 years ago and I haven't looked back! Why would I move from Toronto to Ottawa? Mainly because I was asked to manage the Ottawa office of the real estate company I was working for at the time and it sounded like a great business opportunity. Moving my family to a new city was daunting but I was excited to start a new venture.So I took the 16 years of knowledge I gained in Toronto and applied it to the Ottawa market which prepared me for my work on the Nortel account only a few years after arriving. While making my mark with Nortel I was immersed in a number of real estate projects involving leasing, investment sales and build to suits. But over the years I came to enjoy working closely with tenants unveiling my current specialty, Tenant Representation. Now I continue to focus on assisting my clients with portfolio reviews, lease renewals, site searches, lease negotiations, subleases, financial analysis and any other aspect of commercial leasing my clients are involved with. We didn't know anyone when we moved to Ottawa and after a year of skiing at Mt. Tremblant we found a hidden gem called Mt. Ste. Marie. We own a log cabin there that is now our home away from home and the epicenter for all of our leisure activities like skiing, mountain biking, trail running, swimming and walking the dogs. I don’t think it gets any better than having a mountain biking trail two feet from your back deck!I love the business I am in and really enjoy working with clients to provide winning real estate strategies to help them succeed in their businesses.
