After a short but brilliant time at 6B, in which I learned so much, I have taken a hugely exciting opportunity to join BJSS as part of their commercial team for healthcare and life sciences. Most, if not all, people have used a digital service built by BJSS in their lives, which is a really meaningful and powerful story to tell. I wanted to further challenge myself by joining the great people I've met at BJSS and seeking to make a difference by bringing cutting edge technology solutions to customers and organisations across healthcare and life sciences, to make a positive impact on patient care and clinical efficiency.

I took the opportunity to join 6B to deepen my work and knowledge in healthcare. I knew of 6B in the marketplace due to some of the fantastic projects they had delivered over the recent past and was massively excited by the company's vision, ambition and passion for delivering outstanding digital projects in public and private healthcare. My role at 6B was to lead the commercial focus across the healthcare space, to understand their customers' challenges and pain-points, and work with internal teams to design solutions to solve these. I also led on strategic partnerships, exploring where 6Bs skills and expertise could be complementary with others in the space to work in collaboration.In my time at 6B I secured and worked with a range of new clients across the private and public healthcare landscape.

My final role at CDS was as Business Development Director, leading the agency's focus in healthcare and life sciences. It was my responsibility to build the agency's go to market proposition in these areas, to help CDS clients in transforming their communications and services, and to bring new clients and projects into the agency.

Part of the new business team - I lead our focus in Healthcare in bringing in new clients and projects to the agency. CDS is a strategic communications agency - our purpose is to make a positive difference to our customers, the agency, and the communities we serve. We work with our customers on various projects ranging from digital transformation engagements, to behavioural insights, to content design and physical communications. We work with organisations across multiple sectors and industries on some fascinating projects and I would welcome the opportunity to share some of our experiences and stories.

I joined Maginus as part of the Sales team, working with some fantastic clients across Retail and Wholesale Distribution. I brought my understanding of Distribution and the challenges facing those customers from my time at Videcon, and was responsible for looking after 8 customer accounts, as well as my new business responsibilities. Maginus provides retailers and distributors with 'everything behind the buy button', delivering first class eCommerce websites and sales fulfillment solutions based on a range of technologies.Clients I had the privilege of working with includes:- Bettys and Taylors Group- Joe Browns- Era Home Security- Rust-Oleum - Gordon & MacPhail - Hawkin's BazaarMy experience at Maginus was brilliant. It was my first foray into the agency world, and it gave me the opportunity to work with and learn from some very talented and experienced people. My boss was fantastic, giving me the time I needed to learn about the value proposition, but also the responsibility I needed to grow and hit my targets.

My role at Videcon was my first full-time job out of university. It was the first time I'd had my own patch, customer base and carried an annual sales target. From a career perspective, my time at Videcon gave me my first proper sales experience, which I loved. It taught me the importance of customer service, time management and work ethic. On a more personal note, it was the first time (outside of sport) that I'd been part of a team, all striving for the same goal. I worked with some brilliant people, and will always cherish my time there. I left after 2 years to develop my skill-set and for a new challenge.

Barcelona, Catalonia, Spain

To earn money when studying in Barcelona, I found work as a freelance translator for DKM Motorsport, based in the city. My then boss didn't speak any English, so used me to speak to his suppliers and customers overseas, as they didn't speak Spanish (or Catalan, for that matter). While this was only a relatively short engagement, it was my first taste of real business conversations, in an industry I was completely unfamiliar with. It taught me to think on the spot and gave me an insight into the automotive industry and managing with the supply chain.
