Peacock offered me the chance to bring everything I'd learned in my early career and put it into practice. I was responsible for re-launching the Hilltip brand, an up and coming European manufacturer of Spreaders and Ploughs. We created an after-sales / engineering department around us and built up a major market share in just a few years. I added the responsibility of our salt saturator systems, in which Peacock pioneered de-icer technology in the early 2000s. After re-developing our offer, which included bringing construction back to the UK, we were able to substantially grow our market share and deliver outstanding, market leading products. This role saw me take a leading role in supporting some of the industry's biggest projects and strengthen Peacock's place in the winter service sector. CETCO are world leaders in produced water treatment and offer rental/service, new build technologies and a consultancy service out their EMEA HQ in Aberdeen.I get involved with a range of projects - all aimed at cutting the cost of: pipeline flushing, well interventions / flow backs, solids issues.A business development role encompassing everything from enquiry generation, strategy, marketing, client relationships, creating and delivering presentations, writing bids and proposals. Back in the day, Reekie Machining were pioneers of insitu machining in the UK. We have built a strong reputation in delivering quality, trusted and lasting results.I was brought in to support the business development efforts of the company and my role includes sourcing new business, managing existing accounts and ensuring Reekie's brand and legacy are well known to our markets. The role is mainly office based but includes a great deal of meeting prospective clients, gaining market and customer insight and everything else associated with generating enquiries. As a previous outsider to this industry, there is no better place to learn the ropes!

My role was to seek new income opportunities through creating, developing and maintaining relationships between the company and key personnel in Universities in Scotland. Throughout my time at Endsleigh I gained improved access to the market and delivered year on year growth, increased brand exposure and organisational goals.

Elected to represent the 16,000 students at Glasgow Caledonian University delivering change throughout the institution for the continual improvement of the Student Experience. Amongst other things I was responsible for the overall strategic direction of the Association, over £500k of public money, managing relationships internally and externally of the institution, acting as conduit between the University, staff and students.

Raising awareness of entrepreneurship to students in Glasgow and across Scotland

My degree course included a 3rd year industrial placement. I worked with Scottish Enterprise’s Proof of Concept Programme, an initiative that bridges a funding gap, enabling research from Scottish Universities to be commercialised, ultimately contributing back into the economy. During my time on placement I supported the team specifically inputting into administrative support, marketing, procurement, finance, human resource management, project management in addition to website content management and design.
