Milton Keynes

MSD Animal Health are global leaders in the manufacture and production of veterinary pharmaceuticals and my position gave me responsibility for the management of the UK design facility. Servicing four separate business units, my duties included creative, art direction, artworking, print-buying, managing the UK corporate I.D, agency/product management liaison and budgeting. Working alongside external creative agencies, my primary objective was to ensure projects were driven from creation through to completion.

Welwyn Garden City

I began work as a member of a newly formed 7 man creative team. One of our major tasks was the design and creation of an ad campaign, along with Instruction Manuals for the launch of a new range of pneumatic tools for a major account. As the project progressed, I took responsibility for the management of the account, my role organising the production of artwork and technical writing, archiving as well controlling the print buying budget.

Barrow-In-Furness

After being approached by the globally renowned Vickers Shipyard in the UK with the offer of a long-term contract, I produced perspective airbrushed and line illustrations for the Sales and Marketing team. On completion, these illustrations of prototype war vessels were then used as an integral part of their global commercial activities. Once the project ended, I was invited to return to Vickers on numerous occasions to produce additional artworks for various purposes within the Ministry of Defence and other European defence organisations.

Ulverston

This full-service agency had a client list of the highest quality. Of the major accounts I worked on were N.W.W.A., Shell (U.K.), V.S.E.L., Furmanite, C.R.M. (Aberdeen) and British Gas. The majority of my time here was spent working on the British Nuclear Fuels account both in-house and on-site, mainly on the Decommissioning and the Safety Case projects, where I was Account Manager.
