I’m currently the Editor of Overland Magazine, (an international publication dedicated to motorcycle travel) and Director of Overland Events Ltd. Having travelled extensively by motorcycle over many years, and qualified as an English teacher, they're roles that suit me well. However, I continue working as a freelance editor/copywriter and as education professional. I’ve published travel articles in magazines both sides of the Atlantic and been a columnist in various UK motorcycle titles.With a long history of involvement in transport, logistics and road safety, I have a particular interest in motorcycle safety. Ten years running a rapid distribution company gave me a very personal interest in the issue. An advanced rider, I've worked as a motorcycle instructor and sat as a representative of riders on numerous government and industry committees and working parties, including Technical Sub-Group of the Government’s Ministerial Review considering changes to the UK Motorcycle Testing regime. Having great insight into segments of P2W users, from commuters and leisure riders to those for whom motorcycling is a way of life, I worked as Campaigns Manager at the Motorcycle Action Group, reinvigorating and dramatically expanding the local group network. With a background in teaching at levels 2, 3 &4 and lecturing on Masters programmes, I understand how to engage diverse audiences. I have an excellent track record in communication with motorcyclists and safety professionals alike from a position of credibility as a journalist, columnist, trainer and public speaker. -Freelance PR copy-writer.
