Franchise Agreements, Commercial Agreements, Restaurant Development and Construction, Restaurant Take-Over (Purchase and Sale), Site Selection, Restaurant décor packages, Business Reviews with Franchisees, Company roll-out strategy, Franchisee Recruitment, Deal Making, Restaurant Operations Improvement and Restaurant Profitability. Paddy's experience spans: CFO positions in two of the world’s largest multi-national restaurant corporations (McDonald’s and KFC); Group Financial Director of a South African listed company and Franchising and Field Services Director at McDonald’s SA.

Strategic business partner to the CEO, providing financial and general business advice, commercial expertise and insightful counsel to drive the achievement of the company business plan.During his tenure, Paddy was responsible for the acquisition of McDonald's SA by Shanduka (Pty) Ltd, with Cyril Ramaphosa being appointed the Development Licensee at the time. As CFO, Paddy was responsible for all accounting and financial areas within the organization. This included supervision of all components of Financial Statement preparation (General Ledger, Fixed Assets, and Accounts Payable etc) as well as reporting preparation & analysis, consulting across the organization and providing financial leadership to ExCo. Paddy played a pivotal role in company legal and secretarial matters, oversaw and signed-off franchise contracts, commercial agreements and specialised international corporate documents. Also provided strategic direction for the South African IT function with regards to alignment and adoption of McDonald’s Global IT systems and maintenance of local databases.

Responsible for all accounting, IT, business planning activities and evaluation, including the development and execution of objectives, policies and plans designed to achieve the company’s growth, revenue and profit targets. Worked closely with franchisees - providing coaching and support and ensuring sound business practices. Ensured the company strategies are broadly consistent with worldwide overall strategic direction, but are tailored to meet local business issues and cultural requirements.
