Market the company’s equipment and services to new and existing customers. Gather market information about current and future changes in product traffic patterns/trends . Also, to oversee and coordinate each movement of the customer’s product from load to discharge port. Also responsible for assisting in the collection of debts owed to the company by customers that he/she deals with.Additional Responsiblities:1)Develop new customers and trade lanes for Blessey Marine Services.2)Increase market share with existing customers.3)Negotiate and consummate rates and contracts with customers.4)Maintain good liaison between Blessey Ops and the customer.5)Approve invoicing and manage collections for customer base. 6)Keep customers with current and upcoming trips and all term customers apprised of their chartered equipments ETA’s and any relevant changes/information about the status of their tow.7)Check for need to out-charter their tow if it appears the movements on their term equipment have changed and out-charter their term tows if they have no movements for their term tows. 8)Keep track of customers term renewal dates and current towing companies for term and spot business we are not doing but could possibly do.9)Coordinate with other sales people about market info that is pertinent to their business stream/sector.

Assimilate orders from Sales and disseminate to vessels. Coordinate logistical aspects and vendor services for every vessel job. Prepare and distribute daily administrative reports. Communicate effectively with vessels and departments

1)Field applicant referrals from current employees.2)Work along side of the HR and Security Dept’s to successfully recruit the best possible candidates.3)Conduct face to face interviews with prospective Deckhands and Tankerman.4)Schedule travel, hotel accommodations, and CPR/First-Aid training for the classes.5)Assist Houston Coordinator with “hands on” portion of Deckhand class.6)Maintain the needs of IWTP grant along with Houston Marine Training.7)Working knowledge of current USCG requirements for Documents and Licenses.8)Write Letters of Sea Time for all boat employees.9)Track current deck employees’ eligibility and ability for the next level of training.10) Board vessels and barges to observe and evaluate as it relates to day to day operations.11)Figure and compile information for yearly departmental budget.12)Communicate with prospective employees, current employees, other department heads, vendors, and auditors.13)Incorporate new training ideas and techniques, as well as write new curriculum and tests. 14)Evaluate new training materials for use on an on-going basis.15) Must be able to re-certify and fit-test current employees for H2S and Benzene.
