City Infrastructure is responsible for the management of city assets, both man made and natural. City Infrastructure will be creating many of the beautiful spaces, amenities and infrastructure required to enable the City of Gold Coast to host the 2018 Commonwealth Games.Responsible for the development of Business Intelligence reporting capability from data integrated from MS Project Server / Project Web Access, SAP and Power Budget, using Excel Services and SQL Server Reporting Services.

Provision of Line Of Business Application Support and development (Microsoft Access, SQL Server, Oracle). Participation on steering committees, technical reference groups and user groups for strategic ICT planning, enterprise architecture and governance initiatives, technical operations and major ICT implementations for 1,800 staff within Engineering Services Directorate, including asset custodians, project managers, construction and maintenance staff, specialist designers, surveyors, engineers and management / administration support staff.

The Digital Education Revolution – NSW Program successfully deployed over 300,000 laptops and WI-FI infrastructure for every Year 9-12 student and teacher in NSW Public Schools.Responsible for management of multiple projects, as well as mentoring, leading and managing a team of technical staff to achieve strategic and operational objectives.

Responsible for Active Directory user account creation, management and removal, assignment of user permissions, creation of mailboxes and system administration in Windows Server / Microsoft Exchange Server 2003 environment, supporting approximately 6,500 users within Western Sydney Region.My key achievement in this role was as one of 10 regional representatives / project coordinators for the state-wide Account Migration Project, where multiple accounts for approximately 6,000 users across the state were identified, and merged into a single account.

I managed numerous projects, such as Major Plant for all Western Sydney Institute technology orders ($1.5M in total), and the development of an electronic standard ICT Equipment catalogue. One of my many achievements was the implementation of an electronic barcode warehousing system for the ICT store, using Microsoft SQL Server back-end with Microsoft Access interface.

From 2000 to 2005, I managed a multi-million dollar promotional campaign Educator Essentials for Dick Smith Electronics Direct Sales. It entailed creation of a 24 page full colour publication, an online annexe to the main website, over 600 products, 4 pricing levels on each product, management of an Australian Education Institution mailing list of over 120,000 recipients, as well as the production of statistical analysis, reporting of results and customer feedback conduits through surveys, trade show stands. This was a 6 month project every year, which the volume of work was massive, resources were thin on the ground and deadlines were tight and crucial. During the time I managed this project, sales revenues, profits and circulation more than doubled. My database skills were developed significantly on this role, using SQL for DB2/AS400 to extract data, and one or a a combination of Crystal Reports, Microsoft Access, Excel and Word to analyse, store and present information as Management Reports.

I also implemented Continuous Quality Improvement initiatives in these workplaces, leading to a culture of empowerment, inclusion, ownership of processes by all staff, critical evaluation and collaboration to achieve best practice in all aspects of the business.In this role, I was required to develop, implement, monitor and review company policy, procedures and work instructions to comply with AS/NZS ISO 9001:1994 Quality Standard for Design, Production, Installation and Servicing. I was also responsible for the development of consistent, controlled testing methodologies, as well as establishing lower and upper control limit specifications using statistical methods to demonstrate Statistical Process Control of raw materials and finished product. This role contributed greatly to development of advanced skills in Microsoft Access, Excel and Word.
