Profile bio

About Dan Padilla

I believe in a strong moral compass and fostering integrity. I am dedicated to leading from the front and maintaining a strong attention to detail.I will be transitioning out of the Navy in June 2025 after working hard for over 9 years in Naval Nuclear Power Plant operations, maintenance, troubleshooting, chemistry control and radiological controls. I coordinate with other first-line supervisors to accomplish critical path radiological maintenance to deliver first time quality for the Nuclear Navy in a rapidly changing industrial environment. I work with my team to maintain a high level of technical expertise in radiological monitoring in order to protect our people and the public. The experience I’ve gathered serving 4 years onboard the USS Jimmy Carter (SSN-23) as an Engineering Laboratory Technician has significantly influenced my appreciation for Nuclear Power. I spent large amounts of time performing chemical and radiochemical analyses, watchstanding as a nuclear mechanical operator, and performing maintenance on shipboard mechanical systems. I was a subject matter expert for our radiochemistry analysis equipment, and coordinated necessary repairs to restore it to maximum efficiency. While busy, however, I do also find the time to spend with my wife and two children, and we enjoy spending time in the outdoors or visiting zoos as a family. I am looking for the opportunity to put my skills to the test and further develop them to strengthen the impact Nuclear Energy has on Americans.
