I am a dedicated higher education professional with a decade of experience covering Graduate Program administration, Academic Advising, Undergraduate and Graduate Student Admissions, University Outreach, and College Access programs. My direct student experience covers working with college-bound high school students, undergraduate and graduate student populations, as well as growing experience in alumni engagement.My current role allows me to sit at an interesting intersection between higher education and urban planning. As the current Assistant Director for the Master of Urban and Regional Planning (MURP) program at University of California, Irvine, I enjoy serving as a navigational broker for graduate students as they move through the planning academy and prepare for the professional field. I am passionate about providing a holistic, student-centered approach to ensure my students excel in their academics, professional development, and overall growth and well-being. I am always seeking opportunities to advocate for and mentor first-generation, historically underrepresented students.I spend my free time volunteering and serving my community. I currently serve as an Academic Liaison for the Orange Section of the American Planning Association (OC-APA). I also serve as an Assistant Scoutmaster for Boy Scout Troop 121 in Echo Park, Los Angeles, CA.
