-My work involves a great deal of cross functional collaboration, negotiation and trade off.-Ideate and decide on vehicle layouts by working with all the engineering functions at Ather. -Own the complete vehicle layout and specifications.-Resolve trade-offs between all the attributes such as performance, range, comfort, durability, drive-ability etc.-Define product and BOM structure in Teamcenter.-Work with manufacturing to align vehicle layout with line layout.-Work with manufacturing engineering to plan and execute prototype builds.-Work with the validation team to create DFMEA, DVP and ensure all vehicle related test cases are covered.

• Design of Air brakes,Hydraulics brakes and Clutch actuation system for light and heavy commercial vehicles• Review for feasibility of VAVE product with various functional teams and execute the project• Company’s R&D representative for a specific OEM• Planning, executing, co-ordinating, delivering & presenting various design tasks for a project• Brake system proposal for a vehicle to meet regulatory requirements as per IS 11852 (Preparation of data sheet)• Driving projects through various phases in compliance to IATF certification• Preparing DFMEA, stack up calculation, GD&T application, Design calculation, Design Validation Plan, Control Plan, Product Specification• Coordinating with CFT to complete a project• Resolving product quality issues from both internal and external customers• Preparation of PBOM, participation in design review, Concession & Deviation

-Shaft load calculation, factor of safety, changing the design for critical shaft.-Listing the derived components for elevators.-Handling field complaints and the technical help desk.- Design of the lift components specific to customer requirement and also job requirement.- Finding out alternate cost effective materials for mechanical components.
