In 2018, I partook in the creation of a scholarship program for the Guatemalan Autism Foundation, that helps families to access special needs education in Guatemala, to low-income families who otherwise would have no recourse to services for their children in need of special educational services. To date, the Guatemalan Autism Foundation is a self-reliant and sustainable local organization and has awarded approximately 50 scholarships, from grades 1 - 11, to provide them with the enrichment and recourse to services including therapy, in some cases.
