Salient Features of Project:1. The 32.32 km (20.08 mi) line is planned to be fully elevated, and is expected to consist of 32 stations from Wadala (Mumbai) to Kasarvadavali (Ghodbunder road, Thane) via Ghatkopar, Mulund and Teen Hath Naka, a popular traffic crossing in Thane. It is estimated to cost of ₹14,549 crore.[3] Its construction ws expected to begin by June 2018.2. It is expected to be completed in 2022 and is expected to provide interconnectivity among the existing Eastern Express Highway, Central Railway, Mono Rail, the ongoing Metro Line 2B (D N Nagar to Mandale), and the proposed Metro Line 5 (Thane to Kalyan), Metro Line 6 (Swami Samarth Nagar to Vikhroli) and Metro Line 8 (Wadala to General Post Office). It will provide rail-based access to the commercial, government bodies and geographical landmarks in Mumbai.

 I am working as a Resident Engineer - Structures and reporting to Chief Resident Engineer in this Mumbai Metro Line 3 Project, Mumbai. Assist the Contract Team for Contractor’s Claims & Application for Extension of Time (EOT).  Assist the planning Team, for Contractor’s delay with Detail work program. Reviewing Contractors Cash flow.  Control the supervision of the Construction work /Equipment installation on particular section of the Project and the related administrative matters. Monitor the progress of Contractor’s work, to ensure that the overall objectives of the Project are met. Monitoring Secant Pile work, Station box & Launching Shaft Excavation work, Kingpost Installation work for Strut Supporting system etc., Monitoring Deep excavation supporting system such as Shotcrete, Rock bolt installation etc., Ensuring all test requirements are conducted at site as per approved Inspection test plan. Preparation of reports, program of work, financial forecasts etc., for the Project location. Providing input for Contractor’s request for ‘Variations’ and claims etc., Make recommendations to the Engineer on the subject of contractual matters including Contractor’s claims.  Carry out regular supervision and ensure public safety in the vicinity of the site especially during the diversions of traffic, utilities and pedestrians. Ensure that method statements for all critical activities are submitted to the Engineer, reviewed and accepted before the commencement of the activities Monitor the Contractor’s approved works programme, record the actual start and finish dates of activities and highlight to the Engineer of any delays to the activities on the critical path Validate and provide data to GC Cost Control Team in verifying the actual progress accomplished by the Contractor, for the purposes of progress payment. Liaise with senior personnel from the Engineer, Government departments and the utility companies.

Inspection, sampling and testing of materials to assure that compliance with the contract specification.. Identify non conforming work or materials, notify contractor and keep a record. Follow up corrective and preventive measure taken by the Contractor.. Assist in the review and forward comments on the contractor's method statement for execution of the works.. Assist in the review and forward any comments on the contractor's technical submittals.. Attend site technical coordination meetings to discuss contractor (s) submissions, shop drawings, material submittals and construction related matters. Carry out the final inspection for certification of final completion and handing over of the works.. Assist in the review and forward comments on the Technical Query raised by the contractor.. Inspect the work done by the contractor(s) to ascertain that work is executed in accordance with the Contract Documents and accepted practise. Inspect the on-site and off-site materials to be used in the project and organise field and laboratory tests, conducted by others, on construction materials to ascertain their compliance with the specifications and determine it acceptability for use on the project.. Identify potential safety concerns and inform the contractor.. Review the site progress and assist in the review of the contractor's interim payment application.. Liaise with the Head of Projects for the effective implementation of the quality management systems and site supervision provision activities.. Implement the site supervision quality procedures, and review submission requirements of the project, along with the contractor.. Review all construction documents and highlight any design and contractual discrepancies with the concerned.. Ensure that all statutory authority NOC's / permits / design approvals are available on site for construction.
