Summer Analyst - Awm Private
Interned in the KYC Client Onboarding team of the Asset & Wealth Management - Private Division.Worked on 3 projects and BAU tasks.- Legal Agreement Sourcing: Identified various repositories where executed loan & private equity agreements are saved and ensured that the policy and quality analytics (PQA) team has access to such documents, removing any dependencies outside of the PQA/KYCTeam.The new proposed flow could save ~0.093 monthly headcount for the PQA team.- Borrower Reconciliation:From a manual reconciliation performed between loans product entity (LPE) and KYC tools, ~300 entities for which KYC was missing, i.e., breaks, were identified.I performed an analysis of these 300 breaks to prioritize their incorporation into the BAU pipeline. After categorizing these breaks on the basis of risk and identifying the causes behind the breaks, I identified 17 cases that are to be dealt with as a top priority due to high risk. These 17 of these entities were being onboarded for the first time by GS, while being GS originated primary market transactions. I also identified 6 other entities were also GS originated primary market transactions, but were onboarded by another division of GS, previously. Apart from this, I had also identified certain bottlenecks and the causes of the breaks: Deal teams not raising KYC requests on a timely basis for the necessary entities, despite the introduction of the FCC matrix; As well as identifying that a revisitation of the logic of the LPE-KYC reconciliation tool is required to minimize breaks.- AWM Private Dashboard-KYC Analysis:I reconciled the data between the Dashboard and the offline volumes maintained by the KYC team, collated the correct data and ensured that ~570 missing cases were updated on the Dashboard and followed up with the Business Intelligence team to iron out discrepancies in the shared data.I also performed:- Weekly KRI (Key Risk Indicator) Updates, and- Ad-hoc tasks as required by the team.
