As a double gold medalist from Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS) in Mumbai, where I earned my Masters in Medical and Psychiatric Social Work, I bring over two decades of diverse experience in the social impact space. I have successfully steered initiatives in communications, events, CSR, branding, project management, project design, evaluation, training, fund raising, proposal writing, corporate partnerships, volunteering, and multi-stakeholder engagement, contributing to impactful projects in education, sustainability, disability, child rights, environment, and health across India.With a double Masters in Social Work and Psychology, I presently drive marketing and communications at Alumni and Corporate Relations, IIT Madras— the crown jewel of India's educational institutions. In this role, I lead strategic communication initiatives, managing events, online and offline branding, media and PR, websites (until recently), lead generation, database operations, supporting fundraising for IIT Madras' social initiatives and garnering support from leading corporates and the institute's incredible global alumni network.As a generalist / creative, strategic development communications professional, I carry a rare combination of strong field implementation experience, fused with a professional background in design and content creation. My quest for creative challenges and pushing new frontiers has led to my various stints as an entrepreneur, author, editor, trainer, school counsellor, documentation specialist, web designer, fundraising officer and operations head, among others, all driven by my unbridled passion to make a difference. I am relentlessly entrepreneurial - when it comes to social causes I'm passionate about, like children, youth, women, sustainability & community development. God has enriched my life with fulfilling opportunities for both learning and giving, and for that, I am endlessly grateful.
