About Padraic Gilligan

I have over 20 years of leadership experience both nationally and internationally in the Business Tourism sectors growing and managing companies and business units, having co-founded Delaney Marketing Consultants with Patrick Delaney in 1994 and grown it by 2005 into Ireland’s largest conference and event agency with revenues of €20m. When MCI (Switzerland) acquired Delaney Marketing Consultants in 2007 we created the “Ovation Global DMC” brand and launched it successfully at 100+ locations worldwide achieving revenues of over €100m.Over the past 30 years I have served in a wide variety of leadership roles including Managing Director at Ovation Group, Global Vice President at MCI, Chairman of various pan-industry committees at Bord Failte / Tourism Ireland and International President of the association SITE. One of my strongest attributes is my ability to engage others. According to my “Insights” profile I am an “inspiring motivator”, located midway between Red and Yellow. I know that nothing can be achieved without creating a shared understanding with all stakeholders. One of the highlights of my career thus far was the inclusion of Ovation among the Top 50 companies to work for in Ireland. This, for me, was proof that I, and my fellow directors, were successful in fostering true engagement among our 50+ team members.
