I work in the reuse and recycling industry. That means I wake up every day thinking about how to reduce overconsumption, make the most of existing products, and increase materials recovery. I lead Operations, HR, & IT at Human-I-T, the country's largest digital equity organization and a nonprofit electronics refurbisher. My previous experience includes 3 years in customer success teams at tech startups and 8 years at impact organizations like the UN Association of Mexico and London & Partners, which is the Mayor of London’s international marketing company.My professional interests are: technology, climate change, waste reduction, social impact, and public policy. I have a Bachelor's degree in International Relations and Hispanic Studies, and an MBA in International Business. Career highlights: In 2012, I was awarded a Fulbright scholarship to develop civic education programs in rural Mexico and measure their impact among students and teachers. Since then, I've advised some of the world’s fastest-growing brands on international expansion. I established the U.S. office of the Mayor of London's flagship tech export program (now called Grow London Global), fundraised $20 million for environmental justice and digital equity, and built an e-commerce store (humanitstore.org) for new and refurbished computers and home internet. My latest project is to oversee the refurbishment of 70,000 products annually (at locations in Los Angeles, CA and Detroit, MI) and distribute 35,000 laptops to underserved communities across the U.S. and Canada by year-end."Our problems are man-made; therefore they may be solved by man.
