I started my professional career at Milwaukee World Festival, Inc. – best known as Summerfest – as a Sign Shop artist before being promoted to the company's graphic designer, and later, the Senior Graphic Designer, in which I directed the entire Art Department. From brochures, direct mail pieces, postcards, posters and tickets and passes to signage production and installation, there weren't any creative applications my department and I couldn't handle.In the spring of 2011, I re-located to Cedar Rapids, Iowa taking a full-time Managing Editor position with Perfect Game, an independent scouting and showcase company focusing on amateur baseball. At Perfect Game my graphic design skills were still put to use, and I also contributed by writing and editing original features while managing the content that was displayed on the company's rapidly expanding website.In one of my current roles I serve as the Graphic Design & Brand Manager at Junior Achievement of Wisconsin, again using my design skills to help promote events and programming endeavors. Projects include flyers, postcards, annual reports and logos in addition to digital design assets for email correspondence, social media and digital interactive media applications. I also oversee the company's statewide brand initiatives and execution.I also serve as a journalist for D1Baseball, an online new publication dedicated to Division I baseball. While my primary focus in on teams from the Midwest, I do have a national, coast-to-coast scope covering the sport from fall practices to season preview, in-season and postseason content in addition to summer collegiate coverage.I continue to offer my services to anyone looking for an experienced media professional, particularly to those in the baseball realm aiming to increase exposure and interest in their players, teams and events. I categorize this endeavor as Scout Media, providing written reports, video, photography, social media and other creative applications in an attempt to give young ballplayers a platform to increase their own exposure, and hopefully extend their baseball careers as a result.Specialties: My strengths lie in my organizational skills, possessing the ability to pull multiple pieces – including peers and creative assets – together for successful project executions from start to finish. I have a keen eye for detail, a great sense for compositional layout of space, balancing visual graphics and copy, and illustrative design talent.
