Started and staffed the SRE and IT teams in the US

In charge of starting the internal IT team at Spotify. Hired and managed 12engineers distributed across two different locations (Stockholm and New York),responsible for operating and maintaining Spotify’s IT infrastructure. Duringthese years I’ve established the strategy connected with scalability, operabilityand efficiency required to cope with the extremely fast paced growth that thecompany has experienced both in terms of employees and number of users. Duringthis time I have acted as an architect, coach, manager and systems administrator.Notable contributions:• Designed open source configuration management and provisioning tool plat- form for clients.• Designed, built and put in place core security infrastructure.• Established the workflow processes and policies.• Interviewed a large number of candidates (100+) for the entire Tech Operations team.

Led and managed a team of systems engineers. Responsible for the internal IT department and also heavily involved in the production system design, develop- ment and scalability. Adapted the processes and infrastructure to handle a 10 fold growth in terms of employees and customers. Started as a web developer building the companies intranet and external web site. Later moved on as systems administrator maintaining and developing the companies Linux based systems. This included,• Firewalls, DNS, DHCP, Web, PKI, Mail, Spamfilter.• Designed and built company VPN interconnectivity across all offices in EU and US.• Designed VPN infrastructure and developed custom VPN client software for external clients.
