Managing a team of solution architects, desk-based pre-sales consultants, shared support specialists, and delivery consultants. Focussed on Networking and Security this team works closely with vendors, the sales organisation and clients to ensure that those Sunday afternoon niggles go away for our clients. Those thoughts that make Monday a less than attractive prospect sometimes. Bringing together every Network and Security aligned technical resource within Insight allows for a host of benefits; sharing 'gotchas', updates to the team following vendor events or training sessions as well as relying on each other to bring the right skills to bear on the right project at the right time.

Managing a team of 20 people covering operational, Infrastructure pre-sales, solution sales and software/cloud licensing specialists as a complete unit. I have a brilliant team of engaged (high NPS levels) collaborative people spread across three sites. It's genuinely a lot of fun working with them to get things done. In this context 'things' could be creating a shared support contract, implementing a wireless LAN on a nuclear power station, redesigning a client network or talking through a full hybrid cloud migration incorporating HCI, public cloud together with appropriate client activity to ensure the solution is not only the best fit but also fully explored and optimised.This allows my 'professionally inquisitive' nature to work hard getting to the root of both client and teammate challenges and pulling together virtual teams as needed to resolve challenges delivering true solutions to tangible problems.

Managing a team of eight technical consultants developing learning plans and acting as a point of escalation ensuring the smooth operation of the team. Balancing workloads and fielding 4,000 solution enquiries a quarter across a broad array of technologies.
