Manage shift maintenance personnel to ensure safe and efficient performance of maintenance activities of the DWPF at SRS. Implement and support safe work practices on a 24 hour rotating shift schedule.

Responsible for performing DOE Assessments of the new Salt Waste Processing Facility (SWPF) in the areas of maintenance, work planning and control, and operations. Assessments were performed in accordance to DOE orders and guides for the start up of a hazard cat two nuclear facility, 425.1D. Also perform integration efforts to prepare SRR LW organization to assume operations of the SWPF at the completion of one year of hot operations by the current contractor. This includes developing operations interface documents and coordinating simulated inter-area transfers between Liquid Waste and SWPF.

Develop, plan and implement area outages to ensure preventive maintenance was completed in a timely manner. Coordinated the start and finish of each outage to ensure minimum impact to the operation of the Defense Waste Processing Facility (DWPF).

Managed Electrical and Instrumentation shops ensuring safe and efficient implementation of electrical work in accordance with weekly schedules. Assisted in developing corrective maintenance and preventive maintenance work schedules.

Performed preventive and corrective maintenance on key plant equipment to support the start up of the Defense Waste Processing Facility (DWPF) a hazard risk category two nuclear facility developed to suspend legacy nuclear waste into glass. Responsible for preventive and corrective maintenance on the DWPF glass melter and other critical components.
