I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor providing services to individuals who live in California via remote telehealth therapy sessions through a company called Rula Health.I grew up in Grants Pass, OR, and then spent 14 years in Redding, CA, where I obtained my bachelor's and master's degrees. I have strategically crafted my work experience and training to include all the primary pillars supporting society's mental health. I have worked in group homes with developmentally disabled youth and different homes with children who have committed sexual offenses, resulting in their involvement with the legal system. I worked with a non-profit agency that provided behavioral interventions to youth and families through ABA techniques. I spent several years working in schools helping autistic youth in special education (IEP's and 504's). I spent 3 years working in two separate counties for the Health and Human Services Agency, both in Children's Services and Adult Services. There was extensive experience with severe and persistent mental health disorders and working with the homeless and veterans. This was complemented by entering into the private mental health sector. I gained valuable experience working in the Church Counseling Center at a Church in Redding and then starting a long stretch working for a private for-profit organization that provided services to individuals on the Affordable Care Act/Medi-Cal as well as working as a contractor for a Native American Health Clinic on a reservation in Northern California. This valuable experience was very fruitful as I am a registered descendant of the Klamath tribes in Southeastern Oregon. This season closed and I began a stretch working in the Shasta County Jail, helping to restore the competence of inmates deemed incompetent to stand trial. My family then moved back to Oregon, where I live in the Bend/Sisters area. I began working with Rula Health, where I am currently still contracted to provide services through as a private therapist working remotely. There are two books that I am working on that have to do with unique therapy techniques for children and families. I am also working on a much larger content creation project that aims to help guide individuals to a holistic approach to whole-life wellness, covering all the primary pillars that are holding up our lives and contributing to our success in finding a good flow or impeding us from discovering that flow and functionality.

Remote Therapist in California. Living in Oregon.

Served as a clinician for a jail-based competency treatment that provided in-house treatment for inmates who were incompetent to stand trial. Inmates were all on a waitlist to get into the state hospital where they could be stabilized enough to return to fulfill their right to a speedy trial. The revolutionary pilot program led the way as an example for the rest of the country to copy and dramatically reduced the size of the waitlist that the inmates were on. This ultimately leads to a massive reduction in delays in the inmate’s ability to advocate for themselves in court. I worked closely with deputies and the nursing units. I led groups and individual treatment.
